Slice of luxury!
What a fab hotel! Max 5 mins walk from the train station and a nice stroll across the river into the city, through the quaint streets to the tower. We were really pleased with this hotel, on a multi city holiday it was the best we stayed in. Pity it was only for one night! We had a triple room which was very spacious with a fabulously big and fully tiled bathroom. Both rooms were sumptious we felt quite spoilt! I emailed the hotel directly before our visit in pidgeon italian to check a couple of things and had a reply in perfect english, indeed all the staff spoke english. Chiara specifically, was a fantastic ambassador for the hotel. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and the room itself was large, the waiting staff were attentive and did not hurry us at all. I throroughly recommend this hotel. PS: I'm still wearing the freebie slippers! |

basic and clean with standart facilities
I have a friend studying in Pisa, we went to Pisa together to make her enrollment and slept two nights in Hotel Bologna. Actually Pisa is not a huge city to spend more than two nights and all the hotels are as tiny as the city itself. Anyway, Bologna Hotel is at the centre of Pisa, at a walking distance from the tower, cathedral and the shopping area. It was a little bit noisy outside, but it’s quite normal since there was a big group of university students in town. Over all, Hotel Bologna is just like the others hotel in Pisa, basic and clean with standart facilities and tiny rooms. |

"fantastic hotel with an excellent location"
The hotel was nicer looking than a lot of the other hotels we saw in Pisa, and for the money is great. The room we had was quite spacious and very clean. The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
The best quality of this Hotel is it's location though! Just 10mins walk to the station where you can go anywhere really, we had a day-trip to Florence and were there in about 1 hour and the trains are really cheap too.
I would highly recommend this Hotel for couples sightseeing, that's what we did and thouroughly enjoyed it!!

"good base"
central hotel, rooms comfortable and clean. High Street round the corner, leaning tower 15min walk. Airport and train station very close- visit to Florence worthwhile. Not many restaurants nearby.

"Fantastic Location"
Myself and my partner stayed in this hotel. It was absolutely spotless and you just come and go as you please. The hotel was quiet and the breakfast was great. The rooms are very spacious and without fault. The locations is superb with only a few minutes from the train station and to the tower over the river. Shopping is the street behind the hotel and over the river. Good restaurants are up near the tower and are not expensive considering their fantastic location. Whatever you do - do go to Lucca and hire a bike and cycle around the walls of the city (most pedestrianised)- such an escape! Train is only €4 each way and it only takes 40 minutes.
I will stay in this hotel again and would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.

"Totally delighted"
Stayed there on a short break 11th - 13th November. Arrived at 11.30 in the morning to be immediatley shown to a fabulous airy room which was spotlessly clean. Friendly receptionist indicated on a map the twenty minute walk to the Tower and we spent a wonderful 1st day in Pisa, including a 20 minute walk in the other direction to the train station where we bought our tickets for Florence for the next day.
Breakfast the next day was more than adequate, and we en-trained to Florence for a wonderful sight seeing day (an hour and 15 mins away).
Back to the hotel, and a lovely evening meal at a nearby restaurant, before footsore we turned in for the night. After breakfast, the hotel arranged a transfer for us to the airport (10 mins away) for 10 euros in their own comfortable people carrier.
A highly recommended hotel, and although only a three star because of limited facilities, its cleanliness and pleasant staff favour well with the best (and much more expensive) hotels elsewhere.

"Excellent accommodation"
I stayed in one room witn 3 friends - all middle aged ladies - and we were impressed with the hotel, the staff and the breakfast. Contrary to other reviews, we thought the location of the hotel was excellent, a few steps from the river - in fact, very central. I would definitely stay there again.
