Great Hotel
This is an exceptional hotel. Close to the train station. Newly opened, probably undiscovered. A bargain for the price. Literally across the street from the Duomo. Room was quiet, large and clean, designed with lots of marble and windows and fixtures making it bright and inviting. A little kitchen with microwave, fridge, toater, kettle, etc. was attached to the room, stocked with coffee, teabags, milk and food for a nice continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Although we arrived late, Gabrelle the owner greeted with a glass of nice wine, and some local cookies, served in the hotel's roof solarium, with a great view of Florence. Staff was helpful in getting train tickets and a car and driver.
We highly recommend..

Highly recommended
I and one of my friend stayed in Grand Duomo Hotel for one night stop over while returning from Florence. The city itself is tiny and cute,so the hotel. We had a small but comfortable room, with white and crispy linens and basic furnitures. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, you can go everywhere by walking. |

Great location
L'albergo e' un po' attempato ma, comunque, piuttosto ben tenuto. Il personale e' cordiale e l'atmosfera piacevole. Da apprezzare la posizione, a pochi metri dalla Piazza dei Miracoli. |

Good location and value
I have stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and found it quite good and therefore I stayed there again in this trip with two other friends. The triple room was very small and not bigger than the single room I used last time. The room was old but otherwise clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices of food. The Reception staff were generally good except for one. |

A Fine Hotel
The hotel is very close to the Leaning Tower, which is a bonus on a scorching hot day for sightseeing - not too far to walk! The rooms are comfortable and reasonably quiet. They're not in the first flush of youth, so don't expect modern decor, but were clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was excellent - good food in pleasant surroundings. The Grand Duomo also has garage parking (we paid €16 for a day). All in all, a fine, reasonably priced hotel - thoroughly recommended. |

"Brilliant Accommodation"
We have just returned from a long weekend at the Grand Hotel Duomo. having read past review we were worried about what we were going to get. However all we can say is don't listen to the bad reviews, they obviously are used to staying in a 5* hotel in London. The hotel decor was a bit tired yes, but it blended in with the rest of the city. - its a part of its beauty. It was a very clean hotel where towels and bed linen were changed daily. Staff were extremly helpful and friendly. Views from the hotel were beautiful. It certainly deserves its 4* rating and the service was excellant compared to what you can get over here. All in all it was a fabulous weekend, Great hotel, lovely restaurants, within easy reach of the train station if you want to take a trip to Florence and had scrummy ice-cream! plus only a 2 minute walk to the leaning tower.

"Great Hotel"
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights it is a clean hotel, in a great position. Staff all friendly I was with a baby of 9 months and if I asked them something they will give it to me in a split of a second. If I will go to Pisa again I will stay in this hotel for sure.

"Good value Hotel."
Just returned from smashing break to Pisa.
Was a little concerned with some of the hotel's reviews I read after booking hotel. (need not have been!)
The hotel was clean, staff very friendly (say hi to Roberto :the nicest barman you could meet)
Breakfast clean, fresh and well stocked.
Room light airy and well kept.
Would definately stay at hotel again.
Location over looking the tower and close to many good value cafe's.

Trip to Pisa/Florence
A friend and I have just returned having spent three nights on a bed and breakfast basis at the Grand Duomo. We were given a choice of rooms and picked one which looked out to a view of the tower itself. The maid service was excellent, our bed linen and towels were changed every day. The breakfast was perfectly adequate with plenty of variety for all tastes. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Bus links to the main train station and airport were within forty yards from the Hotel's front door. I would certainly return. |

November Trip
Great Hotel!! Friendly staff and a short taxi ride from the airport eactly what you need from a short stay. I've read reviews commenting on the small size of the rooms - but we found it to be fine, very comfortable and clean. Only had to stand out on our veranda to see the Leaning Tower. Only a 20 minute walk from the main shopping area.
Would highly recommend Grand Duomo. |
